Founder & CEO, Captivating Consulting

Cat is a strategic consultant who helps leaders and businesses illuminate the meaning in their work so they can amplify their impact in the world. Drawing on diverse experience counseling executives in organizations ranging from the Fortune 100 and tech start-ups to small businesses, public institutions and leading non-profits, Cat helps guide clients to elevate their brand strategy in a way that is authentic, ownable and differentiated, so they can connect with target audiences in an impactful and meaningful way.

Through her bootcamps and 1:1 custom engagements, Cat has worked with hundreds of leaders around the world to unearth their personal brand and find their voice. She regularly speaks, keynotes, and leads workshops for companies and organizations such as Deloitte, Capital One, Sanofi, Chief, and the National Association of Manufacturers.

Previously, Cat established and led the Insight & Strategy team at a global purpose-driven marketing firm working across nine geographies in the U.S. and Europe. In her ten-year tenure, she provided strategic counsel to executives and marketing teams in leading organizations across architecture, construction, energy, agriculture and healthcare - including specifically pharmaceuticals, medical devices, academic medical centers and research organizations, as well as many leading regulatory agencies. She also worked extensively with women executives and non-profits working in sustainable agriculture - two areas of particular passion and interest.

In her role, Cat specialized in unearthing the core purpose and authentic voice of these organizations, helping them to take their brands and marketing strategies to the next level. She frequently designed and facilitated strategy workshops, authored brand narratives and strategy briefs, conducted and analyzed market research, developed creative strategies and crafted high-profile speeches for leaders and executives. In 2015 and 2016 she conceived and created FarmNext, a national initiative designed in partnership with the Young Invincibles Advisors to give voice to millennial farmers as a way to shed new light on the increasingly polarizing debate about food and how it is grown.

Cat currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Eastside Academics School in Bellevue, Wa. which specializes in providing college preparatory education for students who learn differently. She also served for six years on the Board for the Friends of Patients at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. Cat has a degree in International Development from the George Washington University and she lives with her family and their two dogs in a small town in the mountains of Vermont.
